Like our bedford cord, Jaspe is another very old, historic workwear fabric. Generally found on overshirts used by miners and train engineers, jaspe was traditionally a very flat fabric in order to prevent anything from catching/snagging during its wear. It's woven with a twisted yarn which gives it some visual texture and helps it hide dirt particularly well. Although it's a lighter, more comfortable fabric, it can withstand very hard wear because of how dense the fabric is. You will get some stretch with jaspe.
The ranch jacket is one of our favorite creations. Based off of old denim jackets from the Wythe westernwear archives, we designed the jacket to hit at the high-hip. These aren't a particularly slim fit, but closer to an athletic fit. Treat this jacket like you would your favorite denim trucker.
