Popovers are a favorite but seldom seen option for the warmer months. They allow you to easily throw shirts on and just as easily throw them off when youd rather leave them on shore before taking a dive in that lake or pool. These still have the same great features of our Oxford Collar Button down shirts so you can easily dress them up or wear them more casually.
These fabrics were all inspired by early 19th and 20th century French and American handspun indigo dyed fabrics. Originally made on a narrow handlooms the fabrics were handsewn together and used for anything and everything in early homesteads. There are surviving examples of skirts, aprons, towels, and bed linens. All beautifully handmade and loved for many years. Inevitably these pieces include many worn in areas that have been repaired and patched. For this collection we showed these original handmade fabrics to a specialist mill in Chennai that was able to recreate this rustic look and feel while also making the fabric super comfortable against the skin. Its lightweight enough for the dead heat of the summer sun, while the cotton and linen fibers help to regulate the temperature on the skin. The indigo yarns will fade and soften with each wash and each day spent enjoying the sun.
